Float Hunt Fish Trips

The river float trips are very popular and fill up quickly.

We offer 2 different types of floats. They allow you to travel approximately 40 to 100 miles of river while going through excellent hunting and fishing country
.

One trip is done by starting at the only place you can land a plane on a lake at the headwaters of the river and take-out down river at the first place you can land a plane. You do not have to worry about another group being dropped in on top of you.

The other is where we take you up river approximately 40 miles by jet boat into one of the remote tributaries of the main river. This allows you to do a float starting in wilderness country that has no other way of access. This means no other floaters will be hunting on the river in your area
.

.  On both trips you set up camps from two to three times as you move down river. You will be given safety and instructional advice on your equipment and rafting gear. You'll spend an average of three to five days at each camp site & while floating you should constantly be aware of what is along or near the river.

From the river you can hike up into the hills and glass the mountain ridges & valleys in the distance. Stopping as you float to look over a promising area can be productive. Remember, patience and perseverance are important to the success of your trip. The game is there, but it sometimes takes time to spot them when they are in the brush or bedded down
.

The trip will take approximately 15 to 40 hours of actual floating time at normal river levels. The water level will determine your time on the river. The rivers are generally Class I and II. Prior rafting experience is strongly recommended for unguided hunters.

You need to be prepared both mentally & physically for all the trips, for they can be exhausting. Tolerating sometimes terrible weather, hiking over the tundra, packing meat and trophies makes for long days.

As an added bonus to all of our hunts, we do the best we can to video tape your trip with so you will have a lasting memory to review
